i really could care less if my girl played the game or not id rather she didnt so she dont get addicted which i doubt she would. Games are bad for you and when i see her i wanna get away from GW. Hell thers tons of relationships i know of IG though. I even know of a girl cheating on her real life boyfriend for an online reelationship, now aint that some poop.

My girlfriend... well she could care less, we both used to play this other game, just kinda chat, never really played the actual game together. Then we both quit because it was getting lame. She knows i play this game, but she... well i don't know what she does all day. I know some of it, but you guys don't need to know about her life lol. Still yeah, if your gf cares about you playing guildwars... unless you go and saying "sorry honey, i can't go the movies, i have to save up for my Fow armor, i just started... so maybe i can go next month"

(work and school > < or = friends and gf/bf) which is all > guildwars

Well my guild leader has a wife and they both play together on GW.

However ya that might be a random thing but a Couple who plays together does stay together.

I've met many couples online - and my former partner introduced me to the game.

My mother doesn't play but she called to tell me that she was watching me on obs mode with my little bro over the weekend and wanted to know how things went. If my mother isn't freaking over all of my brothers playing, I'm sure there are plenty of partners who can respect the hobby.

Online gaming is shifting more and more to the mainstream, so I see less of the nerd label being attached in the future.

My spouse plays GW and helps me run our guild at the same time. Online gaming is a hobby and like any other hobby it's better when your significant other shares it. Shared hobbies add a lot to the fun and also keep your relationship healthy.

Guild Wars is the first computer game in a long time my girlfriend has become interested in. She does hog the PC from time to time (if would all be fine if her laptop could cope with the game, but it can't!). The only arguments is really causes is me shouting at her because of her lack of use of the mouse. She CONTINUALLY has the camera position either on the floor looking up at the sky, or looking down on herself - like a plan view. It irritates the hell outta me - How can you kill what you can't see effectively?? Grrrr

My other half and I both play. He started during the prophecies betas and finally succeeded in tempting me away from various other games about 10 months ago.

It's all good, until something seriously uber drops for one and not the other... that tends to set off 'OMG U HAX' slanging matches across the room

My girlfriend has a character on my account that she sometimes goes on when I'm busy with other stuff. But she usually just sits playing Football Manager on her laptop when I'm on Guild Wars. Football Manager is just as addictive as GW so its OK.

It's not all happiness you know. I heard of partners getting divorced because 1 of them played too much mmorpg's.
Some ppl even died cuz they played too long

In my former guild, the leader was first the husband, but he stopped playing for a bit and his wife became our GL. It was great until there were issues between them.. Guild was merged with another and I haven't heard from them since. I believe they got divorced. They were a great couple..

My girlfriend isn't a big big fan of games (to say the least) But she doesn't mind me playing at all, which is good. She's a tolerant 'gal
